Corporate Social Responsibility

Our founder, Peter Eriksson, has a background in the nonprofit sector prior to embarking on his business career. When OnlineFactory.asia was launched, it was a given that CSR would be deeply integrated into the bisiness.

From a Swedish and international perspective, the disparities in the Philippines are incredibly vast. We want to do our part to help bridge these gaps and work together to create a better world. We cannot improve the lives of everyone, but it is victory for every person who can achieve a better life through our various efforts.

With our company, we do not want to focus solely on profit but also take broad responsibility for developing the society in which we live and operate.

Kiva Microloans for Entrepreneurs

For some time now, we have chosen to partner with Kiva, an organization that supports entrepreneurs in low-income countries through microloans. The great thing about this business model is that at least 98% of the loaned amount is repaid and can be lent out again. Over and over!

As part of our initiative with Kiva, we’ve chosen to focus our loans on single women in the Philippines who, through their microbusinesses, are working to support their families. Examples of successful entrepreneurial projects include selling frozen fish, running micro-restaurants, and selling local vegetables, among others.

We will issue new loans on a monthly basis to slowly but surely increase the number of borrowers who are strengthening their families’ finances through entrepreneurship.

We have now issued 250 loans with a 100% repayment rate so far!

Philippine National Floorball Team

Since 2017, we have chosen to get involved in Philippine floorball in various ways, both as leaders and sponsors. When we began our initiative in 2017, the Philippine national team had never won a competitive match and was ranked last in Asia.

In 2024, the Philippine men’s national team achieved great success at the World Championship finals in Sweden, where they finished in 11th place after a “sudden death” victory over Poland. It was the first time ever that an Asian team had defeated a European team in a World Championship, and the Philippines is now the highest-ranked team in all of Asia.

It has been amazing to be a part of this journey with the national team up close, but also to help develop local floorball in the Philippines.

In December 2025, both the women’s and men’s national teams competed in Thailand during the SEA Games. The SEA Games can be described as Southeast Asia’s own Olympics, with over 10,000 participating athletes in total. OnlineFactory was there as a sponsor and on-site supporter, and a couple of employees were part of both the coaching staff and the player roster.

The results? The men’s team finished in 2nd place and the women’s team in 3rd place at the SEA Games.

In January 2026, the men’s national team once again played in the World Championship qualifiers, this time in New Zealand. The men’s team advanced and will thus compete in the World Championship finals in Finland in December 2026.

Our company

Our office is located outside the business district of Manila in a residential area. We are the largest employer in our area. We offer competent employees qualified jobs and proximity from their home to the office. Most of our employees live near the area, so they get to spend more time with their families instead of having to commute 1 to 2 hours daily. It benefits both the company and the employees while strengthening the economy in this neighborhood through increased taxes and revenue.

Scholarship holder, Alessandra Louise Kaw

Alessandra is a top student of whom we are very proud of, and she was appointed Valedictorian in her class. A perhaps unknown concept in Sweden, but very common here in the Philippines, as well as in the Uníted States and a few more countries. A Valedictorian is often the one who has performed best academically and therefore gives closing speeches for their class.

Home for the angels

We have for several years chosen to support the orphanage ‘The home of the angels‘, which is located near our office, with both different products that they need, but also with some monetary gifts. This initiative was started as a tribute to one of our employees who tragically passed away at a very young age.The great thing is that today, it is not only we, as a company, that support them, but also our employees carry out their own fundraisers and in addition, other Swedes in the Philippines have been inspired by us, and have also chosen to support this orphanage through their own fundraisers. It’s great that our work can give such ripple effect!

Christmas bag distribution in the neighbouring area

Our office is located in a relatively poor part of Manila, outside of the business districts. We are the only outsourcing company in our area. Living conditions are very tough in the immediate area and, without exaggeration, some people live directly on the street and have a difficult time finding food for the day. We have a tradition of handing out a Christmas bag to those in most need, which contains essential supplies such as food and hygiene products. Every year, we have expanded our support as we grow ourselves, and this year we were able to help 350 families with a Christmas bag and a slightly better Christmas.

The cat shelter ‘stray animals

We support the Stray Animals cat shelter on a monthly basis and also through separate fundraisers. Stray Animals is a member of Animal Care Advocacy Philippines (ACAP). Today, they are caring for 136 abandoned cats, 11 newly rescued kittens, and 28 dogs.

Kaismora’s men’s junior team in floorball

During the year, we’ve sponsored Kaismora’s men’s juniors with an education in mental training with the former National team star Jenny Hedlund. Jenny has several World Cup gold medals in her baggage and has, after her athletic career, chosen to invest in a career as a lecturer and to inspire other people to achieve great things. In this way, we want to invest in an immensely valuable education for these young guys. An education that will benefit them both in the sport, but also as people. We like to work with Jenny because she is a fantastic leader, inspirer and energy spreader!
