OnlineFactory’s Orcas: Philippine Floorball Champion for 3 Years in a Row

In 2017, OnlineFactory started its own floorball team to participate in the National Philippine League. The team is called Orcas with the tagline “A little bit chubby but still kind of athletic.” Orcas are known to be intelligent and entertaining marine creatures but feared in the seas because of their cunning hunting skills.

The team may not yet be at par with the other international teams, but with former players from the lower divisions in Sweden and Finland, the team shows a lot of potential and promise.

The 2019/2020 season had to be suspended due to the COVID19 pandemic. Until then, the Orcas had rolled forward like a steam locomotive through the series with double-digit wins right through the entire series. There is only one final match against the league’s runner-up, the University of the Philippines Floorball Team.

The good thing is that the Philippine Federation recently announced that no final match will be played and that the OnlineFactory Orcas remains the champion for the 2019/2020 season. This is because of the series of victories the team has gained without facing any defeats. This is OnlineFactory’s 3rd league victory in a row!

During the COVID19 pandemic, all sport teams in the Philippines were banned from training. However, the Orcas are now preparing for the 2020/2021 season with individually designed training programs to stay in fit and be better for the coming season.
